A House Concert is a way for you to have LIVE entertainment in your home!

What is a House Concert?
A House Concert is a decision by a homeowner to invite a musician(s) into their home and then to invite their friends, co-workers and their community to enjoy an intimate concert.  As the host of a House Concert you choose the date, time, features, and the amount that you would like to have donated by your guests. ($10-$15.00 is customary)

What is needed to have a House Concert?
1) You will first need to determine how many guests you can accomodate for your House Concert.  You should have enough room where your guests can comfortably be seated, as well as get up and move around.  Needless to say you will need to have enough seating to accomodate your new friends so that they can be able to enjoy this intimate musical experience.

2) You should also consider whether you have enough parking to accomodate those who would be joining you for your event.

3)  If you are having your House Concert outdoors you should consider a) having a canopy for the artists since they will be using electrified amplifiers and b) lighting.  You should ask your talent if they have lighting.  If they don't you should arrange to either purchase flood lights (which are inexpensive) or rent professional lighting from your local music chain store.
